We all know we should be eating wholesome foods that nourish our bodies, and energize our cells. This Tomato Apple Basil Salad recipe not only delivers on both of these, but also helps our skin glow, and aids in detoxification as well, whilst being sumptuously delicious!
This salad consists of simple, fresh ingredients, that when combined, forces us to take a break and savor each spoonful.
Tomatoes contains lycopene, an antioxidant, and also provides anti-inflammatory , and anti-thrombotic* benefits. A 2010 Study cites an inverse relationship between tomato intake and certain cancers. It is also correlated with a reduction in cardiovascular disease, and osteoporosis.
Basil a delicious herb that has been traditionally used to relieve respiratory ailments, strengthen the immune system, treat skin disorders, gastrointestinal fatigue, and relieve kidney ailments. It can also increase cognitive ability.
Apple cider vinegar helps to improve cholesterol numbers. Promotes the growth of healthy gut bacteria as well as provide anti-microbic benefits.
Organic Extra Virgin Cold Pressed Olive Oil nourishes the body with healthy fats that are also rich in bio active polyphenols which provides anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-thrombotic* benefits among others.
1 Small Package Organic Cherry Tomatoes, Diced
1 Organic Fuji Apple, Diced
1/4 Cup Organic Basil, Finely Chopped
1 Tbsp Organic Extra Virgin, Cold Pressed Olive Oil
2 Tsp Organic Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar
Salt
Pepper
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, add salt and pepper to taste, cover and let sit for a few minutes, and enjoy with a spoon!
