This lamb recipe is incredibly satiating! Curries are delicious, soothing, and warming on a chilly or rainy day.

The best part of this lamb recipe is the healing properties of the plethora of spices used in the cooking process.

The base of the spice mix for curries includes turmeric, ginger, coriander, pepper, etc. along with fresh herbs, as well as powerful phytomolecules from garlic and onions.

Turmeric – Turmeric root contains a compound called curcumin which has been widely researched for alleviating inflammation, and helping to relieve oxidative conditions. Adding black pepper to this recipe activates piperine, which increases the bioavailability of the curcumin compound. 

Ginger – Ginger root has been shown to have a positive impact on cholesterol levels, to improve the risk markers for heart disease, to aid with digestion, help with the reduction in inflammation, and oxidative conditions. Fresh ginger root has also been extensively researched in correlation to cancer preventive properties.

Lamb Recipe with Ginger and Turmeric

Garlic – Garlic is a superstar in the healing arena. It is consumed throughout the world and whether it is added to sauces, curries, or consumed raw, has the ability to heal the body.

The sulfur containing compounds in garlic has been extensively researched for its antibacterial and anti-oxidative properties.

These compounds has also been linked in the prevention of cancer, and cardiovascular conditions. A 2012 Study has even shown that consuming garlic inversely affects the common cold, infections, diabetes, blood pressure, and glucose.

Delicious Curried Lamb Recipe (Lamb Cubes Curry)

Ingredients:

Lamb Cubes (1 LB)

2 Medium Potatoes (Chopped in Quarters)

1 Small Red Onions – Chopped

8 Cloves Garlic – Chopped

Ginger Root (1/4 Inch) – Thinly Sliced

Curried Powder (2 TSP)

Paprika (1 TSP)

Organic Onion Powder (1 TSP)

Organic Garlic Powder (1 TSP)

Dried Bay Leaf (1 Medium)

Garam Masala (1 TSP)

Chicken Boullion (1)

Black Pepper To Taste

Hot Water

Chopped Cilantro (Optional)

Hot Peppers (Optional)

Directions:

Place skillet on medium heat and add lamb cubes. Keep stirring, until all water has been absorbed, and the lamb starts releasing a clear liquid.

Add potatoes, chopped onion, chopped garlic, curried powder, ground garlic powder, ground onion powder, ginger root, ground paprika, black pepper, and garam masala.

Keep stirring as you add ingredients. You may add a tiny bit of hot water as you add each ingredient to prevent burning.

Let all ingredients sauté for about two minutes, then add water to cover the lamb.

Add cube, bay leaf, and cover with lid to simmer. Keep adding water when the water level evaporates, until the lamb is tender.

Taste for salt, and pepper, and let it reduce to the amount of sauce desired. Add chopped peppers if desired.

How To Serve Curried Lamb with Potatoes
