Visualization Technique for Beginners

Visualization is a tool for manifesting your desires and for enabling optimal brain utilization. It not only allows you to use more of your brain, but you can also reprogram your subconscious with positive affirmations that effect change at every level of your being.

Why visualization? It tricks the mind into solving your problems at a deeper level and then, when you are back to reality, it is just a matter of executing those steps in your actual life. A technique that is simple, actionable, and applicable for use throughout the day is Jose Silva’s three scenes technique.

Following are the steps:

a) Sit with your eyes closed.

b) Tune into your alpha brain wave.

c) Project a screen in your mind, and lay out the problem in detail that you are having.

d) Next, imagine a second screen a few degrees to the left of the first screen, and project ways of solving the issue onto this screen. Be sure to include actions that you can take to ameliorate the problem.

e) Now, project a final screen a few degrees to the left of the second screen, and imagine that you have solved the problem. Tune into all of your emotions as this issue that you are having is finally resolved.

Naturally it takes practice to get comfortable with this technique and Jose Silva suggests a forty day period of daily practice to enter the specified brain wave with ease. You may use this technique to resolve all of your setbacks, and it is even more potent when repeated throughout the day.
