What is the meaning of my dreams?

When do you dream?

When we are asleep, our brain goes through various sleep stages. Once such sleep cycle is the REM or Rapid Eye Movement, during which we experience our dreams. And as you are well aware, your dreams may be thrilling, exciting, even breathtakingly beautiful, or absolutely nightmarish.

What are dreams anyway?

Why do you dream, and what is the purpose of those dreams? Well current thought is that your dreams are your subconscious’s way of communicating with you. Your dreams may convey important prophesies, answers to questions that you have pondered, deep seated issues that you need to fix, and sometimes even your experience in your past lives, and other dimensions.

Start writing down your dreams

If your dreams are truly your subconscious’s method of communicating with you, why not write your dreams down daily? Some psychologists insist that you should write your dreams down right away upon waking, as this enables you to capture as many as seven or eight dreams per night.

What is the meaning of your dreams?

So now that you have written down your dreams, you need to start analyzing them. The tip is to remember that your subconsciousness is communicating to you, therefore the “dreamer always dreams about the dreamer.” Let that sink in. So that dream you had about a loved one dying isn’t necessarily a prophecy.

You need to analyze the dream in it’s context to you, and what the “symbols” in the dream means to you. Who died? What is your relationship to that person? What does that person represent to you? What is going in your life currently that this “person” can represent? What happened in my dream with that person? Etc.

Meaning of the symbols in Dreams

Your dreams are always symbolic to just you! For example, we all think that dreaming of snakes implies something bad is about to happen. But what if you have pet snakes at home that you love and enjoy spending time with? Then your dreams about those pet snakes needs to analyzed by you, with respect to your life.

What is your subconsciousness telling you?

Your dreams are always communicating to you, via symbols, the things that you need to work on to continue on your path forward. Recall the famous stories of scientists or inventors or mathematicians who gained the answer to their most pressing questions in a dream.

If you have a recurring nightmare, start by writing it down, and then analyze each part as it pertains to your life, and you will surely find something that needs to be changed or fixed.

It is said that your nightmares will continue unless you do the work communicated to you by your consciousness.
