Sauteed Spiced Pork Belly and Vegetables: Paleo, Whole30, Grain Free

Sauteed Spiced Pork Belly and Vegetables is a delicious easy recipe that fits into any of the Low Carb Diets such as Paleo, Whole30, AIP, or Grain Free.

The star of this recipe is pastured raw uncured, unsalted, no sugar pork belly, that is sliced into small chunks. It is then sauteed with spices and vegetables of your choice.

I have made the choice, for my health, to follow a grain free diet, and this recipe has saved me numerous times, and can be made with whatever vegetables you need to use from your refrigerator.

Here is one my favorite versions of this recipe.

Sauteed Spiced Pork Belly and Vegetables Recipe

1 LB Pastured Pork Belly, Uncured, No Salt, No Sugar, sliced into small chunks.

1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil

1 Tablespoon Paprika

1 Tbsp Onion Powder

1 Tbsp Garlic Powder

1 Tbsp Five Spice Powder

1 Tsp Dried Basil Leaves

1 Tsp Dried Oregano Leaves

2 Tbsp Soy Sauce

2 Cups Chopped Organic Kale

1 Cup Diced Carrots

1 Red Bell Pepper Diced

1 Green Bell Pepper Diced

1 Medium Onion, Sliced

10 Cloves of Garlic, Chopped

2 Jalapeno Peppers, De-seeded and Finely Chopped (Optional)

1/4 Cup Scallions, Chopped

Salt & Pepper to Taste

1/2 Cup Water

Directions:

Place wok/pan onto stove, and set burner to medium high. Once pan is hot, add Pork Belly, Coconut Oil, Paprika Powder, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Five Spice Powder, Dried Basil, and Dried Oregano to pan. Keep turning for about five minutes.

Add the Soy Sauce and continue turning until absorbed.

Add water and let simmer (do not cover) for about five minutes or until water has evaporated.

At this point, add all vegetables and continue turning for about five – eight minutes, until all the liquid that seeped out of the vegetables has disappeared. Add the scallions, jalapeno (optional), and add salt & pepper to taste.

Remove from stove, plate up, and enjoy while warm!

This recipe is incredibly versatile, and can be customized with your favorite vegetables.
